Investment Promotion Agency : Investors to sign an agreement in various domains
[ The ceremony took place today at the Investment Promotion headquarter in Yaoundé. The ceremony that aims at promoting investment in Cameroun through the private sector, was presided by the General Manager of the Investment Promotion Company (IPC) Martine Angeline Minja.]
La Voix Des Décideurs – The ceremony began with the signature of the agreement between the different investors that attended it. Having thanked the Head of States His Excellence President Paul Biya and the members of the Government, Martine Angeline Minja delivered her opening speech. The director general of the Investment Promotion Agency sized the occasion to introduce her guests not only but also their different agendas.
They were a total of 10 investors and Director Generals, holders of projects in various fields, that gathered today 1st June 2022 at the Investment Promotion Company headquarter in Yaoundé. They all sign an agreement with the above mentioned institution in order to promoting Cameroon destination by boosting the country’s image, the domestic production of made in Cameroon and the rate of employment.
Many Director Generals of various firms or companies such as the Director Generals of SEDECAM, BRIGHT VIEW BETHESDA, Force Construction Company, AD Pharma Industry Sarl just to name a few, came out with a number of ambitions that will be soon achieved in Cameroon.
For instance, Alain Nouaga, Director General of Bright View Bethesda revealed that a hotel, that is estimated to be far bigger than the Hilton Hotel will be built in Yaoundé. The architectural building will be located at Golf behind the USA Embassy. The cost of this is estimated to more than 30 billion francs CFA. Beside this, a domestic gas storage centre in Edea by SODECAM. The project’s cost is estimated to 14 billion francs CFA.
Other projects were also mentioned like the creation of a palm grove and of an industrial oil mill in Bafang in the West region of Cameroon by SAAGRY SA. The Director General of Harmony Food Sarl announced to create a sugar and candies production unit in Douala…etc. Alain Nouaga from Bright View Bethesda reacted ‘’ I’m really happy today to flash back in my native country Cameroon. I remember that the State of Cameroon afforded my studies in the United States of America. Not only me but my wife and I[… ] it is really a pleasure for me to return home and to participate in term of the investment sector…’’
Noted that a great number of employments is to come, Martine Angeline Minja rejoiced herself on behalf of the Cameroon State Government. A toast was then made to seal the partnership after the signature of that agreement between the different parties.
